Q: What methods of payment do you accept?

Q: Is there parking available at your store?

Yes, there are different parking options for different locations (see our contact page for maps).

Henderson Location: There is free parking in the parking lot located just on the North side of our building; between the the building and Bike's and Beyond.  There is also street parking in front of the store during the day on certain hours.

Courts of St. James Location: Free parking outside.

Brandon Location: There is a free parking lot with time restrictions (be careful to look at the posted signs) just outside the Brandon clinic.  However, if this lot is full there is an alternate lot located just beside the free parking lot that is $2.00 an hour to park; you will need to pay the machine as you leave the parking lot.

* Change is not given for parking at any location and Innovative Medical Supplies Inc. is not responsible for any lost or stolen items in your vehicle, damage/vandalism done to your vehicle, stolen vehicles, or any circumstance resulting in your vehicle being towed away.

Q: What is your return/refund policy?

All returns/refunds are accepted with original receipt and within 14 days of purchase. Final sale items include: any brace/device worn against the skin, compression garments, shower stools, transfer benches and raised toilet seats unless deemed a manufacturer defect; then measures to follow the manufacture’s refund/return policy will be taken.

* Method of payment that was made at the time of purchase (ie: interact, cash, mastercard, visa, or american express) will be the method of return where a refund is applicable.

* Special order items are on a case-by-case return/refund policy.

Q: What is your scope of sales?

We sell a variety of orthopedic bracing for all joints in your body, aids of daily living supplies eg: transfer belts, grab bars, shower stools, raised toilet seats, wheelchairs *, lift chairs, scooters and walkers, first aid supplies, athletic therapy and physiotherapy supplies, massage therapy supplies, footcare nurse supplies, and exercise equipment.

* We do not do seating and positioning recommendations, please contact a doctor or occupational therapist to get information on what type of wheelchair to purchase.

Q: What is the difference between the Kodiak and Cube cold therapy units?

The major difference is in the pad that comes with the unit; the Kodiak pads have an intelliflo technology that evenly distributes the cold water more efficiently, keeping the pad at the coldest temperature possible more consistently.

The Cube cold therapy unit has a bladder-type pad, which is still very effective in cooling the desired area.

The Kodiak cold therapy system comes with a bigger standard sized knee sleeve however; there is an extra large option for both cold therapy systems for $5.00 more.

The Kodiak cold therapy system has a battery pack adapter option, which makes it more portable for in the car or outside, while the Cube and Glacier cold therapy system does not have this option.

Q: If I have a doctor’s prescription, am I covered under Manitoba Health or my private insurance for medical devices?

Usually, it depends on the prescription and the type of insurance; please see the Insurance Coverage page for full details.

Q: What insurance companies can you direct bill to?

We can direct bill to:

Q: Do you deliver?

Yes, we do city-wide deliveries daily.  There is a $15.00 charge for any purchase under $75.00.

Q: Do you have a maintenance/installation department?

Yes, we are able to fix wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, bath lifts, lift chairs etc. even if you did not purchase the product from us. We can have one of our employees come to your house to do the assessment. There is a $50.00 charge for a house call. Q: How much does it cost to have something fixed or installed?

We charge $50.00/hour for labor plus the cost of any parts (if necessary).

Q: Do you special order in certain items?

Yes, if we do not have something in our store or on our website, please do not hesitate to contact us as we do multiple special orders for many different customers. We may ask for a deposit if it is something that we do not normally order and is expensive however, most special orders do not require a deposit.

Q: If I have a prescription do I need to make an appointment to be fitted with the appropriate product?

No, at all of our store locations you are able to walk-in during regular store hours of operation and one of our staff will be happy to read the prescription, determine and fit you with the appropriate product.
